Professional Polishing Services have won a Made in Midlands award in the 'Investment in Business category'.
The company ordered two new polishing lines this year and announced a new capital plant expansion, representing a £250,000 investment into the business which will come into operation before the end of the year.
One of the new machines is a highly anticipated multi-head mirror polishing and coating line, which will be the most sophisticated machine of its kind in the UK. It will not only will it increase their capacity to service reflective finishings jobs, but also high gloss, 'UltraBright' services. The second investment is an additional circle polishing line to complement the current 2000mm wide machine which consistently works above capacity.
Kirsty Davies-Chinnock, who collected the award, said “This is the first stage in our ambitious growth plan where we hope to bring new technology into the market to service our existing customers, as well as increasing our presence in mainland Europe.”
Professional Polishing Services Ltd, based in Smethwick in the West Midlands, is the UK’s market leader in mechanical surface finishing. Founded in 1983 they have constantly re-invested in plant and following on from their organic growth since the recession they are keen to facilitate a period of high growth over the next three years.
